Intuitive herbalism ~

The way I work with plants (I'm using 'plants' but this is one word for herbs, flowers or trees also) is quite specific and might not be so very well known. I call what I do intuitive or energetic herbalism - I do also work with plants in a physical way but the base of my work lies in the energetics. Think feeling into plants, communicating with them, learning from the plants directly. This is a completely different way of working with them; it's not about studying or learning from books, but about letting the plants become the teachers – without anything in between.

I started to develop this in my years of disease; understanding the language of the flowers starts with slowing down enough to listen as they live on a different frequency. After that I studied for years, both in the Netherlands and in the uk, because this way of just working energetically with the plants was not offered in the way I wanted to practice it in the Netherlands.

I think the core of this practice for me is recognizing / remembering that plants are souls/beings and that they each carry a profound wisdom and message, that we can tap into. The first step is to just sit down with (for example) a flower. To slow down your breath, turn inwards, and see if you can bring yourself to the state of mind in which there is no difference between you and the flower anymore. That's where you can meet each other. There's a lot I'd like to write about this, but since this is only a tiny instagram post.. I'll leave it here for now 🌸

There is no 'one size fits all', as each plant will work in a different way for everyone. Also I have found that, when we meet the plant world in this intuitive way, very often it is not necessary to physically take anything in (like in a tea, tincture or other way). I have seen and experienced that, during deep contact, the medicine is often given in that moment.

Once I opened up to plants I knew they were (part of) my path. I hope they will become part of yours too 🌸🌿🌹🌼🌱🌺
